This class will focus on small muscle groups that are often overlooked in other forms of exercise, yet, strong in dancers.
During this lesson you will be using dance equipment to execute dance exercises and stretches, which may be performed on the floor as well. For this reason, it is recommended that you wear comfortable exercise attire. Customers will NOT be permitted to participate in these classes if they are barefoot or wearing high heels.
Ballet is a detail-oriented dance style focused on the alignment of the human body to create aesthetically pleasing lines; therefore, tight-fitting exercise clothing is most appropriate for a ballet class. Wearing tight-fitting clothes such as leotards, ballet tights, tank tops, and leggings allow the instructor to determine whether a student's alignment is correct.
Ballet slippers are strongly recommended because this style can NOT be trained in sneakers, and dancing in socks may cause a dancer to become injured.
INTERMEDIATE/ ADVANCED BALLET: Mondays, 7PM-8PM
Belly Dancing can be practiced in tight-fitting workout clothes and ballet slippers, socks, or barefoot. It is recommended that you bring your own belly dance hip scarf, however, the facility will provide one for the customer to use during the dance class if they don't own one already (this will be based on availability the day of).
ADULT AGES 14+: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 7PM-8PM
Hip Hop is a dance style most comfortably performed in loose clothing. Appropriate pieces of clothing to wear to train in this style of dance are baggy T-shirts, hoodies, and crop tops paired with sweatpants, joggers, or shorts for bottoms. It is recommended to wear sneakers for this rhythmic dance stvle!
